Really dumb of us considering the Trop is right across the street, but you live and you learn. We were always staying at Hooters Hotel & Casino no matter what. It sort of became a tradition for us, and as we got older, it didn't matter that we were making more and more money. If this is any indication, I now know why most of these have closed across the country.It's as simple as that, and we assumed we'd only need a place to crash after our 2nd blackout of the day where we rifled through whatever limited amount of money we had at the time. Suffice to say will not be back (even if the food was free). It is clear that they sign the checklist but don't actually do anything to make sure they are clean. The kicker was there is a checklist on the inside of the door showing when someone has been in to clean and inspect the bathrooms. They even have graffiti sprayed on the doors and the walls. I have been in bus stop and rest area porta potties that were in better shape. Then I made the mistake of stopping at the restroom to wash up before I left. Finally had to track her down just to ask for my check. That was not as easy as it should have been. Small, over sauced and not even the sauce I ordered. For $2 a wing you think they would get it right. The main reason we go to Hooters is for the wings.

She asked what was going on and replied 'well no one told me we were out of beer'. Yes please.Ī few minutes later the original waitress comes by with my wings and the other waitress shows up with my beer. She said they were out of the beer I ordered and ask if I wanted something else. A waitress walking by asked if she could help so I told her my dilemma. So I wandered up to the bar to see if it was sitting at the server station. A few minutes later a different waitress showed up with the side only. Turns out the new owners took away the outside seating and boarded up the wall - taking away a lot of lighting. When I walked up I actually thought they were closed because it was so dark. This is the first time (and last time) since the hotel has changed hands. We used to go here at least once during our trips when the hotel was also Hooters. Sad to say this place is a shell of what it used to be.
